Today at Flavorpill, we listened to an improvised, spoken-word single from Conan O’Brien called “And They Call Me Mad.” We chuckled over Katy Perry’s extremely pink childhood glamour shot. We learned how to undo a sent e-mail in Gmail. We watched Ray Bradbury watch “Fuck Me, Ray Bradbury.” We realized that with the backing track from The Social Network trailer, every meme seems more dramatic. We waded through Pitchfork’s list of the top 50 music videos from the ’90s. We discovered that the name “Starbucks” was inspired by a character in Moby Dick. We imagined what sharing a dorm room with Don Draper would be like. We met the accidental face of an unemployed generation. And finally, we downloaded an insanely comprehensive mixtape of Swizz Beatz-produced tracks. Now all we need is the party to play it at.
