If you’re one of those people who’s still counting down the days till Transformers III — despite the orgy of overindulgent awfulness that was Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen — here’s a little something to tide you over. Sure, Russian hobbyist Alexander Semenov may have shot his Transformers short in two hours, on relatively cheap cameras (Canon 550D and Nikon D5000 HD), and put it together with fairly basic editing tools. And we’re not exactly sure why the only two actors need to be shirtless. But, like Boing Boing, we still find the result a hell of a lot more engaging than Michael Bay’s version. Somebody, please send Semenov to Hollywood, stat.
