What’s on at Flavorpill: The Links That Made the Rounds in Our Office

Today at Flavorpill, we watched Julianne Moore cry her eyes out. Repeatedly. We checked out American Book Review’s list of the 100 best first lines from novels. (A personal favorite: “Mrs. Dalloway said she would buy the flowers herself.”) We were dubious about tonight’s Twittersode of Community, which will act as a prequel to the season premiere. It’s not necessarily a bad idea, we’ve just yet to see Twitter integrated into a TV show in a way that works. We listened to the Olsen Twins slowed down. We wished that the world’s tiniest pastries were made for people and not dolls. (They look almost as delicious as these jam and marmite on toast portraits.) We learned the truth about why the Titanic sank. We wondered how Steve Jobs feels about Mark Zuckerberg passing him on the Forbes rich list. We crushed a little harder on Kristen Schaal thanks to this trailer for The Book of Sexy Sex. And finally, on that note, we were glad to discover that it’s National Sexual Freedom Day. So go forth, and get it on. Or not. It’s your choice!
