Flavorpill Fix Episode Four: Animated and Curated By Japanther

Share:

Welcome to the fourth edition of our online music series, the Flavorpill Fix. This episode was not only curated, but conceptualized and created entirely by one of Brooklyn’s most fiercely independent, original, and just plain fun punk bands, the mighty Japanther. The duo of Ian Vanek and Matt Reilly collected videos and commissioned live footage from some of their favorite acts — Cerebral Ballzy, Soft Circle, and Ghost Mall — and then conducted and animated interviews with those musicians. The show kicks off with a gore-tastic video premiere for Japanther’s “The Dirge.” Watch episode four and learn more about the bands and videos after the jump.

Before we turn it over to Japanther, we do have one really exciting announcement to make: Beginning this Wednesday, October 6th, the Flavorpill Fix will air every Wednesday at 10:30 pm on New York’s very own TV station, NYC life. New Yorkers can check out the show page here and catch the series multiple times a week on channel 25. Meanwhile, Fix fans across the country will still be able to watch each new episode at Flavorwire first.

Cerebral Ballzy “Drug Myself Dumb Directed by Aïda Ruilova
