I agree, there is so much great content, practically wasted. Just because it is a redesign it doesn't mean it was successful. The ipod ad is disturbingly huge, and yes its a cool idea that it interacts, but that's just what repels me.

Why can't people deal with change? I'm not saying I like or dislike the new design, but that's not the point.

I'm sure there's a reason for the changes that aren't as obvious to you immediately (like exposing more information faster, allowing for more flexible layouts, etc). And Mr. Dvorkin, I'm surprised to hear you criticize given your own experience with your publication, The Daily Dose. It's about iterating and improving as you go along, because as you yourself know, "nobody get's it right the first time?". I love you dude, but drink a PBR and come with some constructive crit.

wow, boomshakalaka, eli! and, yes: agreed. shitty slogan, only marginally better site. though if the search function is as much of an improvement as you claim, maybe i won't have to spend too much time there, anyway. here's hoping…
