"I am not young enough to know everything. " Oscar Wilde (1854-1900) ... but I guess I am still young enough to be naive, and a disappointment to boot!

Don't be ridiculous. Your comment suffers from an inverted logic. The anonymity in question is directly imposed by the condition of being at war. Based on your interpretation of Article 13 (which is hardly without its critics in the first place!), the government should be commended for withholding footage of soldiers' coffins returning home, as it might arouse public curiosity. Even if we all agreed that anonymity should trump freedom of information, is it not obvious that this deplorable reality is systematically created in order to further its propagation?

Your naivite is disappointing.

um buckeye...

I know you didn't just write some US vs. THEM b.s.

cause it's evident that while the USA may not be blatantly parading its human rights abuses and breaches of international law it still commits a shit-ton of atrocities in the name of "national security"

Let's move beyond these tired dichotomies that obfuscate reality towards a broader and more introspective discourse that allows us to digest the totality of war in all its dehumanizing glory : - D
