Some news to file under both “of course” and “thank heavens”: Snooki may have been banned from Times Square, but the reality TV star/author (God help us all) will be dropping in a ball at the stroke of midnight tomorrow nonetheless. While the folks at MTV will still be throwing their annual New Year’s bash in midtown — featuring Snooki’s Jersey Shore cast mate DJ Pauly D on the, um, decks — America’s favorite orange creature (sorry, John Boehner) will descend inside a glowing ball in her natural habitat of Seaside Heights, NJ.
