In the fantastic documentary The September Issue, we got a first-hand glimpse at the tension between Vogue‘s visionary creative director, Grace Coddington, and icy editor-in-chief Anna Wintour. The two fought about one photo in particular. Coddington loved the Jazz Age picnic image and intended to run it in the magazine. Wintour didn’t care for it. Guess who won?
