To whom it may concern: Lucasfilm just announced a February 10, 2012 release date for the 3D theatrical version of Star Wars: Episode I — The Phantom Menace. We weren’t fans of the movie in 2D, so we’re not really sure what seeing it in 3D would add (other than some actual dimension to the film – zing!) but as the first installment of the franchise to receive the treatment (with the remaining movies to be released one a year), it seemed worth mentioning. That, and if we’re being honest, we’ll probably be curious enough to pay to see it, and then have Jar Jar Binks-related nightmares for weeks to come. How about you?
