Today at Flavorpill, we realized how much Lea Michele resembles a young Anthony Weiner. We felt sorry for this poor piñata. We imagined how adorable this hanging-book friendly lamp would look in our apartment. We appreciated this advice from Jennifer Egan on how to write both good fiction and nonfiction. We remembered how excited we used to get about ordering new books from Scholastic. We got the scoop on how to tip appropriately in different countries around the world. We watched an old video of Tom Hanks and Dan Aykroyd rapping; the literal version of the Smashing Pumpkins’ “Today”; and a mashup of Rebecca Black’s “Friday” with Chris Tucker’s film of the same name. We enjoyed The Awl’s response to our legendary lost albums post. We looked at a lot of dirty artwork. And finally, we were jealous of the free bike repair stations that are popping up around Cambrige, Massachusetts. Bring them to NYC next!
