Wanted: Colorful Jewelry by Colorful ‘Project Runway’ Alum Mondo

We had been Project Runway fans since the very beginning, so it was with heavy hearts that we decided we were done with the show when its eighth season ended with perhaps the worst reality-competition call we’ve ever seen. Instead of anointing bright, brave, lovable, and — most importantly — talented Mondo Guerra, the judges decided they preferred mean-girl Gretchen Jones’s earth-tone harem pants and granny panties. As you may have noticed, we’re still a little bit angry about that.

But we knew we hadn’t heard the last of Mondo, so we’re thrilled to finally have some news about him. The Cut reports that he’s launching a new jewelry line, and in an interview with the blog, he says it will be reasonably priced ($35-40), Plexiglass, and inspired by Piet Mondrian and Paco Rabanne. Based on the first few pieces, it looks like excellent party-wear. Oh, and just when we thought we couldn’t love Mondo any more, he explains that his website (where you’ll soon be able to buy the jewelry) is called LoveMondoTrasho.com because he’s “a huge fan of John Waters.” [Image via The Cut]
