Television’s Marquee Moon by Bryan Waterman (June 16)
Continuum’s 33 1/3 series strikes again with three incredible June releases (the others being Dinosaur Jr.’s You’re Living All Over Me by Nick Attfield, and The Rolling Stones’ Some Girls by Cyrus R.K. Patell). We don’t know which one we’re more excited about, so we’re going to have to read all of them and probably tell you all about it later. Fans of Television frontman Richard Lloyd can ask him questions here, so if you have any nagging metaphysical quandaries not addressed in the book, send ‘em his way.

The Curfew…oh, that could go on the “horribly sad reads” list.
Ed. in the White Riot article, I believe the basist from the clash’s name is spelled “Simonon”
That’s a very personal list. Not my tastes at all. The Vonnegut is a good choice. I’ll buy that.

Wow…interesting books….I’m definitely going to add one or two to my list. I am a little bit disappointed in the lack of range in terms of genre and authors. There’s not a lot of diversity on this list at all. I’d also have included:
- Pym by Mat Johnson
- The Uncoupling, Meg Wolitzer
- In the Garden of Beasts by Erik Larson,
- The Shadow of the Wind, Carlos Ruiz Safron
- Between Parentheses, Roberto Bolano
- If Sons, Then Heirs, Lorene Cary
Good selections, to be sure. I’d add two more which sound promising: The Sisters Brothers, and in the non-fiction realm, Driving With Plato.
