Lately, the creativity bar has been set kind of high for marriage proposals. (See: the Muppets marriage proposal; the Fast Five marriage proposal; the street art tour marriage proposal). And now for the latest addition to the trend: Jeff Gurwin recently proposed to his girlfriend, Caitlin Fitzsimons, by having a mural painted for her in New York City’s East Village; the piece — which references their shared love of Scrabble and her mom’s pug, Parky — will be up on Avenue A and Second Street for the next month or so. Click through to watch a time lapse video of the mural going up and Gurwin popping the question (which happens around the 2-minute mark, if you’re pressed for time).
