Have you ever caught a glimpse of yourself while working out at the gym, and barely recognized the bedraggled sweatball in the mirror? You’re not alone. Last summer Paris-based photographer Sacha Goldberger hung around outside of Bois de Boulogne and asked a few joggers if they would allow him to snap their photo. A week later, he had those same people drop by his studio for a portrait — same lighting and pose, different clothing and heart rate. His goal? “I wanted to show the difference between our natural and brute side versus how we represent ourselves to society,” he explained to My Modern Met. “The difference was very surprising.” Click through to see for yourself.
