Full Stop

As it says on their website, “Full Stop aims to focus on young writers, works in translation, and books we feel are being neglected by other outlets.” It was launched in January and features a slew of interviews, features, and recommended books for your reading pleasure. Check out Alex Shepard’s great interview with Chris Adrian, author of The Great Night and The New Yorker‘s 20 Under 40 finalist, here or find out their fiction picks for the week here.

These are cool sites, but.... Is it just me, or are most of these not really about books at all, and not really of specific interest to "bookworms?"

You're missing Book Balloon! (www.bookballoon.com) It's not super new, but it's the BEST place to talk books with really serious avid readers. (Well, we're not always serious...)

if it doesn't have a FACEBOOK link it disappears far, far from my memory. even if I were to bookmark it, I need to both remember the name and have a NEED to remember to search for it.

Ditto on the shameless plug: www.JustTheRightBook.com is where you can take a fun quiz to help you pick what new fiction books you'll enjoy.

Well - if we are accepting shameless plugs... Packabook is a website which helps you find novels set in particular locations - ideal if you are going somewhere on holiday and want to read a novel which is set there. Looking for a novel set in Paris, Istanbul or Croatia for example? Packabook can help you.
