We tend to give Lady Gaga the benefit of the doubt here at Flavorpill, but sometimes it just seems like she’s trying to insinuate herself into every tiny corner of pop culture until nothing remains untouched by the long, glitter-flecked arm of Gaga. For example: British tabloid Daily Star is reporting that Gaga is in “secret talks” to play Amy Winehouse in a biopic that is, of course, already in the planning stages. One “Hollywood insider” claimed that the pop star would “be spot on performing Amy’s songs and has got the right look and bolshy attitude.” According to some other supposedly well-informed soul,“Gaga’s management team had been discussing possible film ventures before Amy’s untimely death… But there’s only ever been one role she wants and that’s to play Amy.” Well, at least someone stands to get something out of Winehouse’s untimely death… [via The Daily Beast]
