How’s this for risking it all for your craft: For his series Clouds, German photographer Rüdiger Nehmzow took to the skies and hung out of an airplane while donning an oxygen mask to snap some images with the doors wide open. The resulting photos remind us of one of those rare, magical moments when you happen to look out the window while flying, only to be blown away by the breathtaking view. Click through to see a selection of our favorite views from four miles above, as well as a behind-the-scenes video that shows Nehmzow in action at the 4 and a half minute mark. If you like what you see, grab limited-edition prints of the work on his website.
