Some people drown their houses in twinkling Christmas lights Chevy Chase-style to conjure the holiday spirit. The Holburne Museum in Bath in the UK went the alternative route and worked with light artist Bruce Monro to create a magical field of glowing flowers. Planting 5,000 long-stemmed glass spheres into the ground, Monro’s maze of blooming beauties are threaded with fiber-optic cables and lit with a color projector at night. The artist was inspired to create the fantastic installation after a walkabout in the Australian desert landscape after rainfall. [Image credit: Richard Breakspear, Spotted via Neatorama]
