You know what we’ll miss most about Community, should NBC make its biggest mistake since greenlighting The Playboy Club and decide not to renew the comedic underdog for another season? The fact that it was a network sitcom brave enough to be every bit as geeky as its incredibly devoted fan base. Take for example the anime sequence that will run in tonight’s episode — can you imagine a show like Two and a Half Men or even Modern Family doing something like that? Not a chance. Is this kind of creative risk taking at the root of the smart and savvy show’s possible death sentence? Perhaps.
