Today would have been Anne Frank’s 80th birthday, and to mark the occasion the Anne Frank Trust UK commissioned an “age progression” image showing what she might have looked like if still alive today. As the Telegraph reports, “it is hoped the picture will help inspire Britain’s school children to think about the kind of lives they would like to lead, and to remember the loss of six million people in the Holocaust.” The response from Anne’s half-sister Eva Schloss is interesting: “Personally I think she would have been more bitter and disappointed. I don’t see anything of this in the picture.”

A important remembrance of Anne and horridness of hate. It is clear that Eva sees similar world conditions now and is concerned. No matter the political/economic climate, let's all work against hate wherever or whoever it is directed towards.
