Paintball Sites Transformed into Post-Apocalyptic Dreamscapes

Share:

Photographer Katja Mayer and art director Peter Chadwick’s Days Lost captures what looks like a post-apocalyptic world — desolate, apparently blood-spattered buildings, ominous clouds of colored gas, long-abandoned vehicles. In fact, the collaborative photos were taken in and around paintball sites, which makes those red splatters far less alarming but takes nothing away from the power of the images. (Lost fans, by the way, may find them eerily reminiscent of the show’s island set, down to crashed airplane.) Click through to see the full series, visit Mayer and Chadwick‘s websites to learn more about their work, and, if you happen to be in London between now and April 19th, see Days Lost in person at The Print House Gallery.
