Woody Allen Wants Cate Blanchett and Bradley Cooper for New Film

After a successful run with Midnight in Paris — which took home an Academy Award for Best Original Screenplay — there’s already chatter about what project Woody Allen might gravitate toward next. Last month news came that the director would be adapting his 1994 crime-comedy Bullets Over Broadway for, well, Broadway — set to hit the stage sometime in 2013. Deadline clued us in tonight on another project, which may feature the always wonderful Cate Blanchett and Hangover star Bradley Cooper. The website shares that Allen wants to set the film in Copenhagen, but no other details have been released at this time. Allen has mentioned wanting to work with Blanchett before, saying he found her to be “very talented.” Cooper has the romantic comedy experience Allen may be looking for — and being voted last year’s “Sexiest Man Alive” doesn’t hurt things either. Allen just wrapped up To Rome with Love — composed of four different vignettes that share the adventures (romantic and otherwise) of a group of people in Italy. Can you see Blanchett and Cooper in Woody Allen’s universe?
