there is a really cool playground at a school down the round from me in Croydon, London, http://grassrootsplay.com/projects/school_playgrounds

I'm living in Tychy and I been on this Water Playground many times with my children, but always in the middle of day, so I never seen those colour lights :)

regarding the singapore playground- it was used back then as an image to promote a community and national identity! i remember my childhood challenging other kids to run along the spine without falling. good times

I work for the company that manufactured the features for park #5, the Water Playground in Tychy Poland. We are proud to have been part of this project and this Splashpad looks fantastic! The Princess Diana Playground in London, UK, is worth a mention. It's one of the best playgrounds I've ever been to. http://tinyurl.com/d8ba7qj

Thar are some vintage playground as well in Singapore that are worth having a look at: http://www.whiteasmilk.com/2011/12/21/vintage-singapore-playground/

Some great ideas, though the "disc jumper" in the Paris park looks a bit dangerous. The springs appear to make the discs wobbly and I see no cushioning.

San Francisco has not one but two parks that blow away some of the ones on the list - Koret Children's Quarters in Golden Gate Park (a huge fairyland!) and the new Dolores Park Playground. Definitely better than the two in Paris!

City Museum is too good for this list

Gullivers park in Valencia, Spain should definatley be included.

Came here solely to see if the City Museum was included. Left disappointed by the list but encouraged by the comments. (STL represent)

City Museum must have been forgotten! Best. Ever.

Beautiful! Reminds me of 'Monster Park,' aka La Laguna de San Gabriel at Vincent Lugo Park in Los Angeles. Definitely an amazing playgound, too: http://www.laweekly.com/bestof/2010/award/best-eastside-lagoon-1965-1081700/

Well, at least ONE playground in the US made the list! I got all excited by the picture of the NYC playground as its surrounded by trees, but it looks like they must have been photo-shopped in or something... http://www.tomostudio.com/exhibitions_silver.html

these are awesome. you have to include the ny hall of science outdoor playground in queens. it's a huge, awesome physics/science based place to play!

I third the City Museum shout-outs.

The City Museum in St. Louis should definitely be on this list. It's truly an amazing place.
