If it were up to Tel Aviv-based artist and designer Hilla Shamia, Shel Silverstein’s The Giving Tree might have been a few pages longer. Answering all our childhood woodsman-warrior fantasies, Shamia has created this incredibly gorgeous and simple rocking horse out of a natural stump, using ”the natural properties of the round bole” to give it its own unique shape and pattern. We totally wish we had a beautiful toy like this growing up, and we think she would make a killing if she decided to sell them (hint, hint). After you drool over this rocking horse for a little while, be sure to head over to Shamia’s website to check out more of her work! [via Gizmodo]
