We’ve been anxious to see Justin Timberlake record another album for what feels like forever now, so the news that he’ll compose the soundtrack and serve as music supervisor for his fiancée Jessica Biel’s upcoming film The Devil in the Deep Blue Sea is either a tiny step in the right direction, or a sign that he’s given up the whole pop star thing for good. Directed by Bill Purple and set in New Orleans, the drama tells the story of “a grieving widower who recently lost his wife (Biel) in a car accident, as he finds refuge by helping a wisecracking young girl (Chloe Moretz) fulfill her dream of building a raft and sailing across the Atlantic Ocean.” In other words, we suppose that we shouldn’t be expecting anything that remotely resembles FutureSex/LoveSounds. Sigh. [via The Hollywood Reporter]
