Brussels-based street artist Isaac Cordal — whose sad and tiny concrete figures we covered last year — loves to incorporate the element of surprise into his urban interventions. Spotted by Juxtapoz, his Cement Bleak series takes the same colanders that you probably have tucked away in some kitchen drawer and transforms them into surprising detailed human faces. Cordal cleverly places these sculpted strainers in locations around London’s Dalston neighborhood, picking spots where street lights will create a fantastic shadow art effect.
