It’s not exactly a secret that our inner angst-ridden teenagers (and, okay, our outer, less angsty adults as well) are psyched for the return of Fiona Apple to the spotlight, and here’s just one more exceedingly strange treat to savor as we wait for her new album to drop. This morning, the Sundance Channel premiered the music video for “Every Single Night,” the first single from Apple’s upcoming The Idler Wheel Is Wiser Than the Driver of the Screw and Whipping Cords Will Serve You More Than Ropes Will Ever Do. And boy, is it weird! Directed by Joseph Cahill, the video seems to have one foot in the natural world and one in the supernatural, featuring a minotaur, a tender skeleton, hundreds of snails, and Apple wearing a squid as a hat, among other things. So obviously, we love it. Click through to watch, and let us know what you think in the comments.
