Following in the plush, rubber-soled footsteps of Animal Collective, Bon Iver’s Justin Vernon has collaborated with LA sneaker company Keep to design a custom, very woodsman-friendly shoe with a big fishbone across the front. The fishy illustration and the alluring salmon color would probably have been more than enough to explain the numerous photos of cats canoodling with the sneakers, but since a portion of the proceeds from the shoe’s sales will go to the Best Friends Animal Society, we’re thinking they might just be showing some kitty gratitude. If you too enjoy these sneakers, you can pre-order a pair at the Keep website starting Monday. What do you think, dear readers? Would you (ahem) rock these shoes or should Bon Iver stick to crooning?
