While we felt like Season 2 of The Walking Dead lacked a bit of the magic of its first (too much searching for Sophia, not enough zombie decapitation), we saw a glimmer of hope in the final scenes of the finale — namely in the form of a hooded character who fans of the graphic novels recognized as Michonne, a katana sword-wielding bad ass who plays a major role in the series moving forward. Thanks to a very brief clip of footage from the new season that’s arrived online, we now get to see this lady in action. She’s very impressive. She’s also a shoo-in for our favorite character when The Walking Dead returns in October. How about you?
