Today at Flavorpill, we experienced 10 real-life moments right out of Zoolander. We met the mind behind the world’s largest mobile gallery, Art on Track. We learned how the Higgs boson is like Justin Bieber and a giraffe. We saw New York through 50 years of Amazing Spider-Man comic book covers. We listened to Cookie Monster perform a filthy song. We watched a series of charming animations for the US Olympic Committee, each telling the story of a different athlete in varying styles of animation. We enjoyed Tom Waits reading Charles Bukowski. We loved this Death Star sculpted from a Ping-Pong ball. We texted with Jane Eyre. We wished this Golden Girls/superheroes mashup was on television. We discovered that 50 Shades of Grey “getaway packages” are everywhere. And finally, we tried to convince everyone we know to buy a mermaid tail. You can even swim in them — unless you’re really uncoordinated, then we don’t recommend embarrassing yourself.
