TV Guide reports that we may be seeing Dan Harmon working on a new comedy project at Fox soon. The Community creator — who has been busy trying to fund a stop-motion animated movie with Charlie Kaufman and developing animated comedy Rick & Morty for Adult Swim — is close to finalizing a deal to write a comedy pilot for the network. It’s being described as a multi-camera sitcom, which is a departure from Community‘s single-camera photography. Further details are unavailable at this time, but it’s certainly good news for the showrunner who was fired from NBC in May. TV Guide reminds us that although Harmon (currently a free agent) faced major drama following his leave, he’s still “a highly-sought-after writer all over town” and reports that “other networks are said to be sniffing around working with him on projects as well.” Color us curious. What about you?
