’90s TV Teachers: Where Are They Now?

Leann Hunley, Dawson’s Creek’s Tamara Jacobs

She wasn’t a constant presence like Mr. Feeny, but who could forget Leann Hunley’s foxy Tamara Jacobs, the English teacher who took Pacey Witter’s virginity? Ms. Jacobs skipped town when word of her and Pacey’s affair got out, but Hunley hasn’t done a similar disappearing act. Along with a few TV guest appearances over the years (remember her as Shira Huntzberger on Gilmore Girls?), she returned to a gig she began long before her time in Capeside: Days of Our Lives. Over 20 years after leaving the soap opera, Hunley resumed the role of Anna DiMera in 2007.

Head of the class was in the 80's. I think Mr. Green was a better teacher than Miss Jacobs. How about Mark Cooper played by Mark Curry from Hangin with Mr. Cooper? How about Vivian Banks from Fresh Prince of Bel Air? I don't know how often it came up but I know she was a teacher. And Jessica Fletcher from Murder she Wrote is also a teacher albeit retired.

@Jicks - I was just about to post the same thing!

Speaking of My So-Called Life, how about the wonderfully quirky and gay Mr. Katimski, who ended up taking in Rickie? He was played by Jeff Perry, who is a great character actor. He was a regular co-star in Nash Bridges later and also played a great frat-boy yuppie jerk in one episode of thirty-something among lots of other work. Wouldn't Roger Rees be most famous for being Rebecca's rich, snooty love interest in Cheers?!?

Um... sheriff of Rottingham????? That should be his claim to fame!

What about Head of the class? Also the math teacher who died on the wonder years.
