Dads, don’t let your teenage daughters date long-haired guys with pixellated faces. That stuff could be contagious! Such is the apparent moral of a great new Dinosaur Jr. video, for their sneakily addictive single “Watch the Corners.” Starring Tim Heidecker (of Tim and Eric fame) as the overprotective father of a young woman who works at grocery and falls for a bad boy with a very peculiar digital affliction, it’s an oddball take on a familiar theme, with a satisfyingly cathartic conclusion. Dinosaur Jr. has released the clip via Funny or Die, appropriately enough, further cementing a connection the comedy world we recently detected in J. Mascis’ interview with Candace, the feminist bookstore lady from Portlandia. Watch the video after the jump.
