What’s On at Flavorpill: The Links That Made the Rounds in Our Office

By Alison Nastasi on Sep 18, 2012 9:00pm

Today at Flavorpill, we discussed some of the worst words ever. We explored the world’s eeriest shipwrecks. We spotted the beds that would be sure to freak out a one night stand. We saw toy soldiers on a hilarious backyard mission. We saw Mr. Wizard being a jerkface all over again. We had an honest discussion about African Americans in goth culture. We discovered a 1971 anatomy book that uses “pornographic” photos of women as illustrations. We weren’t surprised by this infographic about Hollywood’s waning creativity. We wanted someone to make the TV show Barking Bad. We watched Werner Herzog’s mini documentary about The Killers to prep for tonight’s webcast. We were transfixed by this rare fire tornado in action. And finally, we got the scoop on the Coney Island Film Festival, opening this weekend. The event combines two of the greatest things in life: movies and sideshow performances.
