Forget Cash Cab . As New Yorkers, we’re awfully jealous of London’s “Sound Taxi,” a car that records the street sounds surrounding the cab and transforms them into music. The eccentric-looking vehicle is fitted with both microphones to capture the ambient noise and 67 speakers that broadcast the music that’s created in real time using software inside the taxi. A collaboration between Danish audio design company AIAIAI and sound artist Yuri Suzuki, the Sound Taxi also features headphones, so riders inside the cab can hear the sounds their journey made possible.
