You know those stories of people who stumble across Picassos at garage sales? Well, if you’re a Rolling Stones fan — or generally just interested in music — these photos of the band from their 1965 US tour are almost as good. Musician Lauren White found them at a flea market in California, and once she started researching them, she realized she’d stumbled onto a historical goldmine — the pictures had never been seen, let alone published, before. We spotted them via The Stool Pigeon, and they’re currently on display at the Dilettante Gallery in LA through October 26. Quite apart from their rarity, they’re pretty amazing photos — the band looks startling young and innocent, but full of swagger and youthful bravado, too.
