Kids' Halloween Costumes That They're Too Young to Understand

Share:

Halloween is almost here, folks! Have you decided on a costume? If not, stay tuned — we have some great pop-culture inspiration after the jump, courtesy of some cute little ones in some clever little ensembles. If you were a Flavorwire frequenter around this time last year, you may have stumbled upon our first collection of kids’ Halloween costumes that they’re too young to understand. Lucky for us, in the 12 months since then, the Internet has produced even more photos of tiny tykes dressed in costumes that were clearly chosen for them by oh-so-amused adults. Are you ready? Click through for some miniature mad men and meth cooks, and hit the comments to let us know what you think.

Don Draper, Mad Men

The world needs more photos of little kids dressed like Mad Men characters, because this is flawless. The suit! The apple juice! The hair! The cool expression! Sure, this kid has no idea what’s going on, but his aloofness makes him an even better Don Draper. Well done, parents, and we mean that. Now, find him a mini Megan. She won’t need a name tag; just tell her to say “Zou Bisou Bisou” over and over and she’ll be just fine.

Walt and Jesse, Breaking Bad

If we were to dress our hypothetical kids as Breaking Bad characters, we’d probably leave the fake blue stuff at home. Other than that, we’re fans of these costumes — especially that angry little Jesse Pinkman.

Vincent van Gogh

Jordan Ferney, the lovely lady behind Oh Happy Day, recently posted a “Little Artists Costumes” series and dressed a few youngsters as famous artists. This bandaged van Gogh is pretty adorable, don’t you think?

Dee Reynolds, It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia

Sleeping Beauty‘s Aurora would never sport a bar towel and Chucks, which means one thing: we have a Sweet Dee in The Nightman Cometh on our hands. Little girls are usually left out of the “funny costume” category, but this makes everything better.

Ron Burgundy, Anchorman: The Legend of Ron Burgundy

We said it last year and we’ll say it again: You can do no wrong with a baby mustache. If your tiny Ron Burgundy has friends or a play group, go ahead and gather a full KVWN-TV Channel 4 Evening News team. If they’re old enough to memorize songs, you know what to do. Bam. YouTube sensation.

Ron Swanson

Here we have our other favorite Ron with a mustache — Ron Swanson. Really, does it get any better than a family of Ron Swansons? Everyone should do this. Everyone.

Psy

We’re willing to bet that there will be a lot of “Gangnam Style” wannabes running around on Halloween night. Sure, it will get annoying, unless the culprit is two feet tall and too young to have a say in the matter.

Prince

We don’t even know how to describe the perfection that is this Prince costume. Much like our previous Don Draper, this guy was made for the part. Work it, little Prince!

Buster, Arrested Development

There are countless ways to depict our beloved Buster, but this soldier’s parents did a great job. Just give your toddler a spare hand, a hook, and a seal, and voilà — your very own Buster Bluth baby.

Gallagher

Whoever thought to dress their kid as Gallagher, complete with a “Sledge-O-Matic” to smash watermelons, gets two thumbs up. All you need is a cap, overalls, and some sort of mustache, and you will have the coolest little ’80s comedian on your hands.

Wilson, Cast Away

Here’s a creative one! Wilson — yes, the volleyball — from Cast Away, complete with a “bloody” face and everything. The baby doesn’t look too pleased, but we’re sure the costume is comfortable, which is all that really matters at that age, right?

Kingsley Zissou, The Life Aquatic with Steve Zissou

This boy makes a great Kingsley Zissou, but he’s missing his team. You hear that, parents of the world? Dress your kids as Life Aquatic characters and send them his way.

Dwight, The Office

If your child’s head of hair is in that stage between baldness and fullness, you should take advantage of the situation and hilariously dress him or her as a partially-balding character. Ladies and gentlemen, we are proud to bring you an impeccable Dwight Schrute.

Frida Kahlo

Last but not least, here we have another spectacular costume from Oh Happy Day’s “Little Artists Costumes.” This just in: kids in fake unibrows are just as awesome as kids in fake mustaches.
