Stephen King is famously generous with his short stories, charging student filmmakers the nominal fee of $1 for adaptation rights. Now, he’s extended that magnanimity into the graphic realm, hosting comic book artist Dennis Calero‘s webcomic adaptation of his story “The Little Green God of Agony” on his very own website. The tale, which originally appeared in Stephen Jones’ 2011 collection A Book of Horrors, follows Kat MacDonald, a nurse hired to care for the sixth richest man in the world as he struggles with mysterious pain. New installments of the serialized webcomic will appear at StephenKing.com every Monday, Wednesday, and Friday for eight weeks. Read the first six episodes here. [via Open Culture]
