When a knee injury left Ingrid Endel unable to pursue a career in dance, she had to find a new creative outlet. So she picked up a camera, and began shooting herself as the subject. “A year or so after my first photo, I experimented with incorporating dance elements with the concepts,” Endel explains. “Photography has allowed me to use my skills as a dancer to extend the boundaries of human expression.” The resulting images are really quite striking; in fact, we’re still trying to figure out how she was able to pull a few of them off.
