Today at Flavorpill, we mourned the loss of Nyan Cat. We were thrilled to learn that Mythbusters is doing a Breaking Bad-themed episode with Aaron Paul and Vince Gilligan. We fielded some calls from President Obama. We met a few independent video stores that are still managing to survive in the age of streaming. We remembered when Chevy Chase used to be funny. We read a lovely poem for Justin Timberlake. We were amazed by all of the places that Google Street View has gone so far. We wondered who would want to watch 10 hours of the worst movie death scene ever. We found some of the sentiments expressed in these Victorian anti-suffrage postcards oddly familiar. And finally, we curled up with the 2012 Art Issue of The Believer, which contains among other goodies, a new interview with the late, great Maurice Sendak.
