Lush Photos of the Woods at Night Taken on LSD

It’s an egregious critical cliché to say that a song sounds like or a movie looks like it was made “on acid.” But we’ll allow ourselves to use the term in this case, because as its title suggests, Canadian photographer Benoit Paillé’s LSD series really was. As he recalls, Paillé dropped acid and headed into the woods, where he lit a candle and took these four-minute-exposure photos. He calls them “a meditation about the holism of nature surrounding me.” However you feel about the chemical and spiritual process through which they were made, it’s hard to argue with their lush, saturated beauty. Click through to see the series, which we spotted via Booooooom, and visit Paillé’s website for more of his work.
