Inspired by the belief that lurking inside each of us there’s “a young core, instinctive, creative, but also innocent and naïve,” L’ Enfant Extérieur (The Outer Child) is a collaborative project by Paris-based retoucher Cristian Girotto and photographer Quentin Curtat that explores what these inner children might look like. While we love the concept, and the manipulations are really well executed, after looking at these portraits we don’t think that we’ll be asking these guys to snap our photo anytime soon. Frankly, we’re afraid the resulting image would be too damn creepy.
