It looks like Family Guy creator Seth MacFarlane is following Quentin Tarantino’s latest path. THR’s blog Heat Vision exclusively reports that the funnyman is prepping a live-action western-comedy, written with Ted co-stars Alex Sulkin and Wellesley Wild. A deal hasn’t been finalized at this time, but the stars definitely seem aligned. A sequel to surprise hit Ted is still in the works, but A Million Ways to Die in the West could hypothetically be first in line if distribution is secured. “The plot has been described as a Blazing Saddles-style movie — meaning a western with contemporary humor, with one undercurrent being just how dangerous and painful life really was in the late 1800s,” THR indicates. MacFarlane may also star in the movie, which is said to feature a romantic female lead. Are you up for more gunslingers and racy, twisted humor? While we wait for more news on the potential project, get excited to see MacFarlane in an upcoming episode of The Simpsons.
