What’s On at Flavorpill: The Links That Made the Rounds in Our Office

Today at Flavorpill, we surveyed the top 10 of everything in 2012. We read about Grimes and the Internet apocalypse. We spotted a petition to Hasbro asking the toy company to create a gender-neutral Easy-Bake Oven. We listened to Carly Rae Jepsen vs. Ke$ha in “Only Wanna Call You Maybe,” spotted by @acbleach. We dug this Love and Rockets and Looney Tunes mashup fan art by Fantagraphics intern Ben Horak. We found out who made it into the Headwear Hall Of Fame. We hoped someone would send us pics of James Franco’s performance of an Aleister Crowley ritual in Venice Beach tonight. We were happy to see a Kickstarter promoting new women’s bike-friendly fashions from Seattle clothing company Iva Jean. We came across some New York-centric pillows and bandannas being sold for a good cause. We wore Grumpy Cat makeup. We found out more about Harvard’s newly acquired book collection featuring sex and drugs galore. And finally, we explored the evolution of AIDS in pop culture. The list helps to “illustrate the changing stages of public acceptance of the disease,” The Atlantic writes.
