Talk about your unexpected eye candy: the pleasing geometric shapes and rich, over-saturated colors in these photos by Los Angeles-based artist Ed Freeman transform abandoned fast food restaurants and gas stations into objects of startling beauty. “All have been manipulated to enhance and ennoble these very ordinary structures that might otherwise go unnoticed and unappreciated,” he explains. In some cases Freeman only changes the background of the original shot; other images have been completely overhauled with the magic of Photoshop.
