Adorable Artworks Made by Playing With Food

Clearly, Hong Yi, aka “Red,” never listened to her mother when she told her not to play with her food. Last year, we spotlighted the Malaysian artist-architect’s lovely coffee-stain portraiture, and she’s also been known to work with sunflower seeds, so we were not surprised to discover a new series of her food-based art over at Fubiz. In these charming photographs, Yi recreates classic artworks as well as organic scenes on her dinner plate, with the remains of, one assumes, her dinner. Adorable and tasty! After the jump, check out a few of our favorites from the series, and then be sure to head over to Hong Yi’s website for even more of her work.
