Pic of the Day: Cave Paintings in NYC
12:06 pm Tuesday Oct 13, 2009 by Emily Temple

Enter the first installment of Cave Painting, a two-part show up until October 31st from deep below W 25th Street. This collection of works from forty artists, developed by organizer Bob Nickas as he researched his upcoming book, Painting Abstraction, means to explore the diverse origins of visual expression – hence the title – and probe the far corners of the abstract. However, be prepared for the creatures of the caves: we hear tell of wandering child mannequins in the deep. More images after the jump. [via anaba]
