Gallery 1988, everybody’s favorite pop culture art gallery, is taking its show on the road — and for good reason. This year marks the 30th anniversary of the release of Ghostbusters, so 1988’s not just doing shows at its Los Angeles galleries; its amazing assemblage of original Ghostbusters-inspired art is currently showing in New York, on its way to Los Angeles, then Chicago, and finally (of course) at the San Diego Comic-Con. The fine folks at Gallery 1988 were kind enough to share a few pieces from the exhibit with us; check them out after the jump, and visit their Ghostbusters 30th website at ghostbusters30th.com for dates and locations, as well as opportunities to buy limited-edition screenprints from the show.
Gallery 1988’s Ghostbusters tribute is on display through April 26 at 69 Leonard Street in New York. It will move to their Melrose Avenue gallery in Los Angeles from May 17-June 1st, then to Chicago’s Rotofugi June 20-22, and the San Diego Comic-Con July 24-27.
