Colorful, Clever Photographs of Colored Pencils and Origami

I really enjoy photography that captures something that’s already a work of art — putting objects created by an artist into a scene, then taking a photo of that scene. It brings a new layer to the picture and really elevates the artist’s vision (not to mention allows the viewer to see the artist’s hand as having touched the image rather than just pressing down the button to snap a picture). The work of Victoria Ivanova (spotted via Faith is Torment) does that: using rows of colored pencils and adorable figures created with origami, she creates scenes that don’t just burst with color — they also feel as if they are continuously in motion. Check them out after the jump.
