@Steven like to ask rhetorical questions much? Being both a diehard Buffy, Dr. Horrible and How I Met Your Mother fan, I think the writer was just trying to say that both actors could probably use an acting change --- one where Neil Patrick doesn't have to pretend to be straight and could actually sing and one where Alyson isn't the most annoying character in an ensemble cast (though she was kind of that on Buffy too).

And p.s. How I Met Your Mother hasn't been that great this season...sad...

What is wrong with you?
Why would you suggest breaking up one of the best shows on television?
Alyson Hannigan and NPH should not go after a "stranger and more exciting fare"
While most networks are shoving attention-deprived rejects on reality television shows in our faces, you want to take away an intelligent and legendary show for your own far-fetched amusement?
No, do not suggest taking away one of the only good shows on television so two actors can go on to do a "werewolf series". Are you 16 years old? Quench your blood-hungry lust with New Moon surrounded by high school misfits instead.
The quality of television shows and movies are deteriorating into regurgitated vomit, where we can recognize what it used to be, but now it looks and smells like the failure of a drinking night.
Keep the ones we have left alive.
Or you can always try to get Kim Kardashian on Joss Whedon's next show.
You would love that wouldn't you... sad...
